North Island

Just a little so far. And a bit of information. Nieuw Zealand gives home to 4 million people. From which 3 million live on the north island. So there are a lot more people. Nieuw Zealand also gives home to 50 million sheep. (!!) Which mostly live on the South island. My impression of north island is loads of villages and a few citys. But also a lot of land where nobody lives. A lot of green hills. And a lot is cultivated land. The south should be a bit more rougher and mother nature in it's true form. So i'm curious. What brought New Zealand me so far? A skydive with video. Which was a live time experience. And something I wasn't planned to do. But I have to say it was awfully good. And offcourse my Black and White water rafting. Which was totally different. One was mostly in a boat down a river filled with rocks. The other one contained a lot of different extreme sports. And I had my first taste of Maori culture. Which was exciting. And I hope more will follow. That was a short overview of the north.

Wow! That sounds awefully good you know! Loads of adventures listed on this site, actually. Might even be some setting for Bassie & Adriaan... ;-) They always have these adventures in strange countries with loads of action-full things to do, right? ;-)

I'd love to go to New Sealand too, but hey, I only got 3 weeks to spend on my holiday (*jealous*)... well. At least this vacation is permanent now (as in, nothing will probably stop me from going) which is more than I can say from any other planned (and cancelled) vacation I ever had (outside Holland). Sounds sad.. but hey, it IS sad! But I'm finally changing that now! I will probably book the ticket (for which I already have an option at the agency) tomorrow after work. Reminder to myself: bring along a copy of my passport for the visum they told me I needed (which Nicky contradicted, but well)... ;-)

Wow... less than 18 days to go and counting.. and I still have soooo much things to do! Only two weekends to buy things and fix things, and so little evenings to think about all other thinks that I can't even stárt to think about right now. Well, thats part of it all, i guess. Have to live with it. ;-)

Nicky! I wish for you to have a lot of nice days more to come (and for me too) !!!

Greetings, from one of the smallest countries on earth, to one of the largest countries on earth...
